Front Entrance Springtime
HAMMERSMITH QUAKERS are a faith community who work for peace, equality and a sustainable future. Our Meetings for Worship are an opportunity for silent spiritual contemplation and exploration.
Quakers have been active in Hammersmith for over 350 years - this new building (2020) means that Quakers can continue to offer spiritual refuge to new an old friends.
Our MEETING HOUSE at 30-32 Bradmore Park Road, W6 embodies the Quaker values of simplicity and calm. It was built sustainably with plenty of wood, is energy efficient, is ventilated throughout and has gardens at the front and back. The modern design makes for a beautiful space with a special atmosphere. (Email to arrange a visit)
MEETING for WORSHIP Sunday, 11am - 12noon
Everyone Welcome, please come and join us for an hour of quiet worship. We look forward to seeing you. Arrive for an 11am start; there will be a chance to meet us and ask questions afterwards, with coffee.
Getting here: The Meeting House is within easy walking distance of Underground stations and Bus routes; we have secure cycle racks; the building is wheelchair accessible; there is free parking on Sundays in the street outside.
There is a map and more details under Contact Us.
ROOM HIRE is increasing, we have a variety of local groups using our rooms, perhaps you would like to join them > go to the ROOM HIRE page of this website.
GARDEN - With the help and guidance of a professional gardener, volunteers are getting our beautiful garden into shape. We have created a lawn, planted a variety of plants, trees and shrubs and are in the process of installing new seating.
REFUGEE OPEN HOUSE has been running monthly since November and goes from strength to strength. Ukranian settlers are invited to come for friendship, advice and a place to relax and share stories. We have developed this event with LBHF building on the work we have been doing for over a year. Other local groups (yoga, theatre) are joining, too. It is most often on the first Friday of every month, from 3.30 - 6.30pm.
