We hold many events at Hammersmith.
Alongside our worhship we try to create an environment and events where people can come together to understand what Quakers stand for and to build a spiritual and physical community.
Alongside worship and regular events there are two one-off events in September and October that are particularly important for us.
A Core Quaker Testimony is the Creation of a Path to Spiritual Peace
As part of this we are taking part in the national Vigil for Peace. We are exploring the Quaker Peac testimon and taking parrt in the Silent Walking Vigil for Peace

A Concert on Behalf of Hammermsith Quaker Meeting
The concert will be on Sunday, October 18 featuring the award winning artists and long term friends Maggie Cole on harpsichord and Philippa Davies on flute.
- Music by JS Bach, Mozart, Ibert and Jan Willem Nelleke
- Doors open at 16.30
- Concert starts at 17.00 and lasts for around an hour.
- Refreshments will be served after the event

Below are some of the regular events at Hammersmith

1. Hammersmith Quaker Worship on a Sunday: - This happens at 11am and lasts for an hour. After meeting there is coffee and biscuits, this is the perfect opportunity to ask questions. If you are coming to a Quaker meeting for the first time you will find this information useful Your first time at meeting
2. Hammersmith Openings: These are regular discussion groups held by Hammersmith Meeting, to explore diverse topics and to build our friendship with one another and discuss Quaker thinking and principles.
3. Hammersmith Shared Lunches: Every two months we sit down and share a simple lunch together. People bring food along to share. Lunches are usually on the first Sunday in February, April, June, August, October and December. They start at 12.30. All are welcome to stay. Please check the calendar though as sometimes the date moves by a week or so. Shared Lunches
4. Hammersmith Mend: This is a new event and part of our sustainability initiatives. It is designed to help prevent fabrics going to landfill. People bring an item of fabric or wool they would like mend and receive advice. Conversations could be about mending the world, Quaker values, or general conversation and chat. 5. Hammersmith and Volunteering in the community We think it is important to work withing the community we live in and work to include people in our and the wider community. In doing this we run events for people who need extra support and at ways to get to know the people around us.
- Hammersmith Ukranian Refugee Open House - in partnership with the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham we run monthly drop-ins for displaced Ukrainians living in West London.

More information on the timings and venue:Ukrainian Open House details Ukrainian Open House - The English Conversation Club - This is a weekly event where we work with the Diocese of Holland Park to help people with their spoken English. We always need first lanaguage speakers who can help out with a few Saturdays.

6. Outreach: We also put on plays, discussion fora and cultural events to discuss topical issues and discuss Quaker principles and beliefs.
